Less stress gift giving

by Nicole

Having just finished the ‘gift giving season’ it’s tough to start thinking of presents to celebrate the special days in the lives of friends and loved ones.  Unfortunately, birthdays, anniversaries, housewarming parties, baby showers (and on and on) don’t stop happening just because we’re flat out of ideas!

For those of you, who (like me) need a bit of help in your gift-giving pursuits, here are a few solutions that put experts to work for you:

  1. Teleflora’s Florist’s Choice! – Why not let a professional do the creative thinking? After all, it’s their specialty! Just use the Florist’s Choice option on Teleflora.com, give a few pieces of insight about the recipient, such as “her favorite décor is classic country” or “he’s allergic to lilies and will only occasionally remember to water a plant”, and send it off!  A professional Teleflora member florist will receive your order and take your personal notes to make a one-of-a-kind bouquet that’s just perfect for the occasion.
  2. Wishlists – Does your recipient keep Wishlists on Amazon.com or social shopping sites like Kaboodle?  Surprise them with a gift they’ve chosen!  Super simple and always on point.  How can you find someone’s wishlist?  For Amazon.com, visit Amazon.com/wishlist and type in your friend’s name or e-mail address.
  3. Have a Hunch – Finally, you could let a new website called Hunch.com give you a push in the right direction.  Using their service, you answer a series of questions and are guided to a variety of choices as the result.  The questions and answers are crowd-sourced (as a user, you could create a quiz and answers to help someone else in their gift giving), which gives some confidence that these are actually gifts people want. Wink

Do you have any suggestions for other ‘gift helpers’?  We’d love to hear about them in the comments section!

Nicole, you missed one: call the florist! In just a minute or two, we at MoonFlower Florist can usually recommend a bouquet that's appropriate for the occasion, right for the recipient, fits the buyer's budget, and uses quality flowers that we have on hand.
